HERA – Life Lessons Tour
Hera is an award-winning Icelandic singer/songwriter who has lost count of how many times she has traveled around the world with her guitar. Her self-titled album released this July 2020 to critical acclaim and has reached #1 on the Icelandic album charts.
Joining the Life Lessons Tour in support of Hera is rising kiwi star Emma Dilemma and Ōtautahi based musical artist The Moses sharing songs of love, life, learning, and growing.
Hera spent most of the past couple of decades living on the opposite side of the world in New Zealand, and has a long musical history, including: a Gold-selling record, high-rotation radio play, and support slots for the likes of Nick Cave, Joe Cocker, Amanda Palmer, and the Dresden Dolls.
She has been named ‘Best Female Artist’ at the Icelandic Music Awards, performed at the famous SXSW festival in Texas, and the iconic Glastonbury in the UK. As well as touring the world from Italy to Indonesia, Australia to the Philippines… even to Greenland, where she played among icebergs at a remote beach in Tasiilaq.
Emma Dilemma is an artist from Christchurch, New Zealand.
The self-described ‘patron saint of self sabotage’ combines her penchant for viewing life through an absurdist lens with her love for melody and storytelling to create serious music that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
She spent 2021 launching her first collection of songs (6 total) as a ‘SIDE A’ of her upcoming debut album, ‘SPIT’, which will be released this May 2022.
Following this solo tour with Hera, Emma will be making her festival debut on the main stage of Christchurch’s prestigious urban festival, Electric Avenue, with her complete band.
“The Moses” is an improvisational live looping guitarist, session musician, songwriter, and recording artist.
He has toured Australasia and abroad performing with and alongside a multitude of local, national, international, and award-winning acts. 2022 marks 20 years of involvement and dedication to music and debut commercial release.
