Meadow & Gardens
The Meadow
This area which is situated to the east of the house features a main lower terrace lawn (approximately 30m x 20m); a series of stone wall seating areas and a smaller upper terraced lawn (approx 18 x 10m).
This stunning outside space is perfect for ceremonies, gatherings and performances. Guests and visitors are welcome to explore the trails leading up into Fairfield's seven acres of heritage woodland, which overlook the meadow.
The Gardens
Fairfield House has beautiful flowering gardens which lead up a two-tiered lawn meadow. It also has a sheltered brick courtyard, surrounded by beautiful flower and plant beds.
An event held at Fairfield provides attendees with the unique opportunity to explore these extensive areas of natural beauty, in a location so close to the city centre.
The Fairfield Heritage Woodland has gently graded tracks which takes in many outstanding exotic trees, mostly planted during the 1850s and 1880s. Notable among these are redwoods, Himalayan cedars and Bunya Bunya. The tracks connect into the Grampians walkways. Download the map for Fairfield Reserve.
It is hard to imagine having a more perfect venue than Fairfield for our wedding. From the start Catherine was on board communicating with us regularly about how the venue and our wedding day would work.
Fairfield offered us so many options for the ceremony and reception, and we knew that whatever the weather, we would have a special day.
On the day, the Meadow was sunny and vibrant for the ceremony and as the sun went down the candle lit courtyard was a romantic and beautiful setting for our reception. We honestly couldn't have imagined a more wonderful day.
Thank you Catherine!
